About Megan Favela

Megan Favela graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College in 2013 with Bachelor of Music degrees in Voice Performance and Music Education, with a Minor in Theater. Mrs. Favela is the owner of Favela Music Studio in Amarillo, Texas. Favela Music Studio offers private lessons in voice, piano, music theory, theater, and beginning guitar.

As a certified music teacher, Mrs. Favela has experience teaching choir and general music at the secondary level in the United States, and she has taught voice classes at a tertiary institution in Uganda. Having a passion for using music in ministry, she served on staff with her church in Philadelphia in their worship ministry. She also worked with an afterschool music program for children in an urban setting in Uganda. In the performance arena, she has experience performing in musicals and operas, and serving as a musical director in school and community theatrical productions.

Mrs. Favela has always had a passion for teaching private music lessons. She loves to see students taking steps forward in their musical abilities and growing in their love for music.
